I just bought a 1g Talon and am experiencing issues with it bogging and sputtering while accelerating. I've eliminated all boost leaks and vacuum leaks. Base timing is set and the Ecu is in good shape. I have a wideband and can see that whenever it bogs, the wideband goes far rich. Maft-t can't be zeroed out because when I try and drive, the car wont go over 10mph because of extreme rich bogging. When I lean out the base settings on MAFT, it becomes driveable but goes rich around 5k and hesitates hard. Engine mods are Maft and GM maf.

I have had this problem as well. Started out as nothing but all the while the caps were leaking in the ecu. Then the CEL then the airflow problems. Sounds like the ecu isnt metering the air and the spark is affected, I was more investigative because after a while I even had to hook up a jumper wire from the battery to the Cam Angle Sensor to get the stock boost guage to blip on. Anyways Check the ECU for black/tarrish goo or fish smell.

I as well have changed everything in hopes to fix this problem.... You know what did? a new EEPROM ECU

what did your old plugs look like? i had the same problem, and i changed my plugs, and it turns out it was my injectors sticking open at wot. i pulled my new plugs after a 2 mile drive, and all but 1 were completley black. run some seafoam/inj. cleaner, and see if it gets any better. if it does, but not alot, replace your injectors.

I have 550's from RC so I did everything possible before I would consider taking them out. I also thought it was a stuck injector too. I had Magnacore Wires and went back to the stock type NGK Wires, and it fixed my problem. Just a bad wire. The EEPROM just fixed my CAS jumped to the battery.

I go through new plugs every 10k, thats my personal rule. AFPR and my plugs arent black anymore.
