Ok so I bought this 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. I bought it from the guy and it ran good. Then I got it home and its been a FULL year sitting trying to figure the problem out. When I go to start it, it starts for about 7 seconds consistently. And I have no throttle response or anything. I thought it was a boost leak but i checked that and it wasnt. I am getting fuel and spark. So i pulled the motor and rebuilt it. The rings were trashed and so were the bearings. My mods are a big 16g turbo, BC 272 cams, Full exhaust, FMIC, and GM MAFS and translator. I replaced the MAFS and it did the same thing. Any Ideas would help alot! Thanks!

Did you replace the spark plugs? Are they properly gapped? Also, when rebuilding the engine, did you time it correctly? It could also be bad gas, since it IS a 1g, you can try draining the gas out, there's a bolt on the bottom of the gas tank. Also try replacing the fuel filter. If you have a huge intake/ air leak, the car will do the same thing.

my experience with a bad ecu is, long cold start, low idle, check engine light for various sensors that were actually fine. Hot start, it would usually start right up and idle ok,
