this is for a manual, my friend decided to buy a starter from a 1g talon and hes got a 2g gst. will they interchange? im gonna buy his gst once he puts the starter in for my new dd but i dont want him destroying something

it will if the starter came from a 7 bolt engine the trannys and clutches are different on the 6 and 7 bolts just find out if it came out a 7 bolt or not if it did then your fine you could use it if not then no..(90-early92=6 bolt (late 92-99=7bolt)

Yeah I realized that..Long story..I still don't have my starter..

95-96.01 (1st month) 2g 4g63 starters will fit 1g's

6-7 bolt 1g starters fit each other doesn't matter as long as they are 4g63.

Obviously not in my situation. Got 7 bolt starter from advance, doesnt work. They don't even have a 6 bolt starter..
I'm waiting on a 2g starter from a guy,, hopefully it starts...
