Just another quick easy question for the wisemen. I need a new rear caliper for my 1g and there's a 2g being parted out a couple blocks away. So I'm wondering will the rear calipers be swap-able? I know on the 2g rear calipers are mounted towards the front and the 1gs towards the rear and the 2g has bango fittings. I was quoted 190 for a rebuilt caliper at napa so I shot that down right off the bat as the spare money I have is getting put into getting the car up and running.

The calipers aren't similar at all. The 1g calipers have the parking brake built in. The 2g's are in the drum for the parking brake.

Just curious- why do you need a new rear caliper? They do offer caliper seals that are much cheaper if it's leaking around the piston. Is it seized on the bridge pins?
