Can someone tell me what the differences in a 1g and 2g auto trans are?

Pretty sure i need the kiggly kit if someone did a 6bolt swap and used a 2g trans. The car is a 98 gst and the trans quit working. Loud noises like bolts hitting something. Im assuming thats why it was sold. Someone couldn't get it right.

Have you jacked it up to see if the flex-plate bolts backed out? It is common because they almost never get torqued down properly.

They were definitely loose

I'm thinking someone didn't do the conversion correctly.

Anyone have any info on the kiggly kit? Do i need it if indeed it is a 6bolt engine?
