I am looking for the wiring diagram for the 1990, I have the electrical manual for it and have gone through it for about an hour and still can't find anything but the relay and how to check it and the A/C cooling fan. Does anyone have a wiring diagram with the colors and everything they can post for me please?:D

The colors are wrong for my car. On my car the wires coming from the harness side are GW, GR, GB, and B. I am trying to figure out which wires carries out which function.

Or can someone take a picture of the stock 1g fans so I can see how the wiring is done please?

Does anyone know why my harness would be different colors then what they should be? Nothing looks spliced back together or anything like that. My vin says my car is a 91 but I'm pretty positive the harness is for a 1990 since it was made in the early years of 1991 and has the external oil cooler, 1990 coil pack, 1990 instrument cluster, and 1990 throttle body.

You might have custom wiring, which would require you to figure it out manually without using colors then i recommend writing down the corresponding colors on a "key" next to a diagram

I just finished wiring my 2 slim pushers on my '90 Talon (looks familiar) but i was working with the connector that comes out of the bottom of the radiator (fan switch). I will have to look to see what colors those are and can post them tonite. The fan power wires on mine are just blue for positive and black for negative im pretty sure. The blue may have had red stripe on it. I will recheck everything tonite and get it on here for you. I made the wiring harness for them inside the garage then simply went out to the car and put a male and a female bullet connector on the factory wires (blue and black like i said but will double check), plugged them in and tested and they worked fine. Since I don't have the radiator back in the car yet it will be easy to check them, 5 minutes maybe.

Sweet I have to grab some fans to what kind did you get my oem one is all cracked up plus I want some fo a bigger turbo down the road.

So I figured out what happened finially. I guess one of the P/O's tried to extend the harness and used those random green wires, I was going to start going back towards the relay to figure out what was going where and found the original wires :D! I'm going to wire it up tonight and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the help guys either way. :)

I took a picture of mine tonite. The fan switch has green and black wires and the fan positive is the larger blue and fan negative is the ground. I will see if I can post the picture from my phone. In the end, we are all happy the problem is hopefully solved. :nono: well no pictures but good deal!

Sorry ground meaning larger black.

My extension colors are Red and Black for easy identification. They really aren't as long as you thnk. Mine is a close to 10-12 inches and it has plenty of easy room to work with. :thumb:

That's what it looked like when I untapped it. Also I wired it all up how it's supposed to be and it's still not coming on. Diagnostic time.

Check your fuses and RELAY and do a continuity check on the thermo switch on the bottom of the radiator, one should be a ground and the switch, when heated ( I tested mine on the stove with a pan of boiling water) will connect internally and ground the system turning on the relay which in turn will turn on the fans. My PO didn't have a relay in the fuse box, so I put one in and everything worked like original.
