First of all his 1g fan is controlled by a thermo switch (at bottom of radiator), not a sensor. So there's infinite resistance (open circuit) until the turn on temp (185F) at which time it becomes a closed circuit with zero resistance. Second, temp sensors decrease resistance with heat, not increase. You can check those temperature sensors using an ohm meter and a cigarette lighter off the car. Just connect the ohm meter to the two pins and if you read no resistance that parts alright. Then resistance should climb as you heat the end of the sensor (brass part)....not real accurate but if you get erratic readings then you know something's up.
