the part that i am stuck on ordering right now are my cams... i cant decide on which ones to get and am hoping someone can help me out.

note: running stock valves, springs, retainers

I've read positive things about the Delta Cams regrinds of 272's. I personally do not have any experience with them. Maybe I'm tired but I don't see a Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator on your list. You need one. The COP setup may not be worth it. Research it and see if it's right for your build. I don't see an upgraded fuel pump or rewire. You should add them. Do you have an upgraded clutch? I also don't see what turbo specifically that you are running (small 16g, EvoIII 16g, etc.), you might want to specify. In a full weight car, I think that 10's would be hard to attain on even a 16g without meth injection and a ton of boost. I'm sure you'll find a way. Just make sure 10's aren't some arbitrary time that you set because it sounds good. Do your research and find out other users' combos and what kind of times they netted.
Sorry, not trying to be pessimistic or critique your setup. I am just offering input... Good Luck!

At the top of the page it says "how to run 10's when you haven't run 12's yet" just make sure your goals are not to far from practicality not trying to knock you or your goals just want to say running 10s requires more than just pony power, i didn't see any suspension or drive train mods ...extremely important for running 10s our trannys are made of glass so be sure to get a shep trans dogbox etc.....coilovers or something to that nature.. goodluck

im pretty sure its just an ebay 16g... but the fuel system is yet to be bought, same with clutch... im not gunna really worry about those till i get farther into the build (and till i have new turbo)... im hoping to be running an hx40 with lots of boost... but for now im just gunna run 20 or so on the 16g while i save up money for the rest of the stuff... im not expecting 10s right now... thats just the goal for when the build is done... and the previous owner that raced it said it ran 12s on a gt30... (he didnt say boost numbers or have a time slip for me to see tho)

and it states in thread post that it has a tien flex coilover suspension and dampening system

The afpr, pump, and the rewire are all must do's. The HX-40 will also be a more realistic 10 second turbo, but only with the proper supporting mods. You'll get there, but spend the money where you really need it first. Cams can come after the additional fuel system parts that you need. It looks like you have a lot of things that you need, and are most of the way there. (Minus turbo/manifold/drivetrain modifications).

yeah im slowly gunna get there... and from what iv been thinking tonight i am just gunna hold off on the cams for now and get the motor sent off for the machining to be done and get it in the car and running... cams and valvetrain can be put in with the motor in car so im not to worried...

thanks for the advice on the fuel system, ill put the money towards that stuff for now i think, and then just do the cams springs and retainers later all at the same time...

i think i would probably benefit more now with the fuel system than cams anyway now that i think about it...

I know it's less exotic or exciting...but it's better to do it right the first time around than destroy a perfectly good motor that starved or fed too much fuel. I'm probably going to get an RCI afpr pretty soon. I'll let you know how it goes if you're interested...

that would be awesome... any info helps
i wish mine was running right now :( but im way excited to turn the key when its all built...

where do you buy your parts from?

where do you buy your parts from?

Pretty much wherever I can find the best deal for the part that fits my particular need. Some parts I go used from the classifieds (walbro 255 fuel pump for $25, EVOIII O2 and turbo manifold), or I go new (exhaust system, wideband, ostrich EPROM emulator, boost gauge). It depends. RCI is a new supporting vendor that had a great deal on a afpr that I was looking at. After that, I'll be at injectors and should be all set (well minus the motor rebuild which won't be happening for some time). I just want something that is quick and fun to drive for now. E85 and a 2.3 stroker will be in my future though! I might even be checking with you about how you like your HX-40! :hellyeah:

Real Street Performance Engine Parts, Pistons Rods Cams Valvetrain and More
thats where i got my pistons and rods...

25 bucks!!! *im glaring at you through my computer right now*
i though about doing a stroker, but i want to have like a 9k redline :p

and i envision the hx40 will be sometime down the road... last one i found they wanted like 900 for it... ill pass till one comes into the junkyard...

I've used STM in the past and like their site for the most part. I haven't heard of Real World Performance. Thanks for the heads up! I'll check them out for sure. Yeah I scored a deal on the pump for sure. The guy was getting out of DSMs I guess. That's why you gotta look from time to time!
