So I finally got my first DSM after owning a mustang for the past few years. i figured if most of my buddies are into them and most of the time faster than the stang why not join the gang. I traded my 1994 mustang GT straight up for this 1998 eclipse GSX and even though its only been a week I already love the boost. When I first got the GSX it had already undergone the 6 bolt swap and had only a few mods but was definetly worth the trade. The one bad thing was that the engine had a hole in the side of the block. This did not bother me too badly because my buddy had another 6 bolt short block sitting in his garage that he was going to use for a built motor in his Talon that he agreed to let me buy from him and swap in. Not only did he agree to let me use the short block we also spent the entire weekend freshening it up and swapping it into my car. Since last weekend I have put over 200 miles on it and its running pretty strong. I have attached the few pics I have of the process now but there will be many more to come as the car goes along and my knowledge of DSM's and parts list continues to grow. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Big J

I helped with the engine swap and to get it back on the road. The current mod list is:

COP setup
Catback exhaust
FMIC
16g
1g BOV
Fidanza flywheel
Clutchmasters FX5 clutch
and some other little stuff...

It took us awhile to finally talk him into getting rid of the mustang and now that he has the GSX the BOOST has already warped his brain LOL.
