Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and also new to the DSM world.

I just recently got a very good deal on a 1997 Eagle Talon ESi. It is FWD and has the 420a but it was a great deal and I've wanted a Talon since before I could drive LOL.

I'm new to fixing cars so im also using this as an opportunity to learn a skill. so far ive fixed both doors, the driver wouldn't lock and the passenger wouldn't open from the outside.

In the next 2 weeks I will be replacing the leaking Cam seals and putting on a new alternator belt along with plasti dipping the rims and putting new tires on.

First thing to do should always be maintenance. Whether turbo or non-turbo, maintenance is the most important thing to do before any mods, that way you're starting off with a mechanically sound car. This also helps while doing mods, such as if something failed after modding, you can almost eliminate the maintenance being the cause.

Definitely! Replacing the came seals and alternator belt tomorrow and doing the timing. After that an oil change and a tune up
