1996-RS.NO.TURBO..Walbro fuel pump, 190Lph or 255lph

it really depends on how much you plan to push your car.

If you plan on ever running turbo or nitrous, might as well go for the 255.

If you plan on going for a high compression NT motor a 255 isn't out of the question either.

I guess you have to ask yourself how much you plan on pushing your car.

I'd say 75-100shot of nitrous would require at least a 190
Higher compression pistions would require the same as well.

Wow...

Anywho, Rand basically said it all...except of course, this wouldn't be considered engine management

I think there is only one question here but........... for what it's worth I'm running a 190 walbro with no fuel problems. Check my vehicle profile for specifics.

255, biggers alawys better plus just incase for an upgrade. and have a bigger and higher flowing pump wont hurt anything and the price difference is almost nothing so just get the 255. engines love more fuel. :)

I am with shane, the price difference is minimal (to none) and it leaves room for larger upgrades in the future.

I would imagine, though, that the 190 is not as loud as the 255. So if your plans don't require a 255, and noise is an issue, perhaps the 190 would be a better bet. (input from poeple who have run both, on the noise thing?)

And engines dont necessarily love more fuel. Engines require a certain amount. Too much fuel (for the application) and you are losing power, fouling plugs, creating alot of carbon buildup, and just wasting fuel. Too little fuel, and it will melt things, or blow up.

The pump only determines how much fuel you CAN run, not how much you will run.

Heh heh, funny thing is my 190 is LOUD.

Now, my 255 was on my 4G63 so it's not a fair comparison. But the 255 was absolutely at stock noise levels for my AWD.

They aren't quiet, that's for sure. Re-wiring them will help quiet them down a bit.

Hey link, check the dates on these posts before replying, a good majority of the previous ones you've posted in have been pretty much dead. :thumb:
