hey dsmers!

i own a 96 gst and i been having some weird LAG/HESITATION ? heres the deal
i take off in first gear between 1-3k RPM the car will build boost i can hear the Hissin noise but the car is not going anywhere(catches speed but not as fast as when the problem dont happen) than out of nowhere the car like ENGAGES and the car flys. so hesitation than speed out of nowhere i thought it was a slipping clutch so i replaced with a stage 2 clutch it stopped for 2 days now its back again. it does it sometimes not all the time but it happens everyday. going into highway full boost at 15 car hesitates for about 2 secs than boost out of nowhere. I also smell GAS when i drive and my long term fuel trim is at 8% short term is at 3% just cant remenber if its -\+ i did a boost leak test a little while ago but if it was a boost leak i would not have a gauge full boost right? any help is appreciated! i already searched so dont say USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!:thumb:

96 gst
t-25 @15psi
Air intake system
greddy-s BOV RECIRC
PCV TEST VALVE
Muffler not full cat
stage 2 clutch
forced performance wastegate (BOOST AJUSTABLE)

at idle timing advance is about 12 which i think its ok?

What kind of supporting mods do you have? Are you monitoring your AFR, what do they look like?

i dont think my laptop will read AFR i dont have a gauge =/ and all i have for aftermarket is whats listed above

You should really invest in one. It sounds like you are leaning out. I had this problem but only on part throttle. AFR would really help. Or watch you o2 sensor voltage. With that level boost you might be maxing out the stock system. Dial the boost nack a tad and see if it helps.

Maxing out the "stock system" on a T-25??? I think not. Have you done a boost leak test yet?

I was talking about aporoaching fuel cut. I thought around 15psi you 4g guys started pushing into that area. BLT doesn't sound like a bad idea.

I'm having the same problem also. Feels like turbo lag right????
I did many blt test but found nothing. I first thought it was a slipping clutch also but that's out the window.
How the heck did you get away with your avatar for so long? I remember seeing it many months ago LOL

When you do your boost leak test, you should be building up to at least 20 psi and it should hold steady for at least a minuite pending on internal seals. Use soapy water to look for bubbles and make sure your motor is around 30* TDC so the intake valves are closed.
