I just bought a 94 mitsu mighty max and I am gonna do the swap to it in a few weeks. I have only seen people putting dsm 4g63 motors in then and not the Evo 8/9 motor. So i was wondering what the reason behind that was. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Chris

price.... The evo 8 core block is at least 750 dollars not including the head. The dsm short block can be found for less than 100 bucks..

I work at Reese Tuning so the evo 8/9 block is what I deal with every day and I saw an Evo 8 long block on socalevo for $800. So i was wondering if there was any clearance issues. I was alson wondering how difficult it would be to put a LT1 T56 transmission to it.

Your not going to get terribly further with the evo block than youll get out of the 4g63, price on the engine and parts will be alot cheaper.

Heck yeah! You can ebay the crap out of these cars! (Which may or may not be a good thing) but for a beater project its great (not saying that your project is a beater at all. Just saying)

You can ebay any car and honestly I wouldn't recommend ebaying anything with DSM's its just not worth it at the end of the day. The parts in general are already cheap enough for the car. A full bushing kit on our car costs 150$ my friends subaru costs 150$ for one bushing. And both are of equal quality.

Yeah I have learned that if you cut corners by being cheap then later it will #### you and cost you a lot more then original part you bought.

Yeah i have been looking on there a lot but if i use the T56 tranny will i still use an evo 8 clutch or dsm clutch?
