1990 FWD turbo transmission

I am in the process of a turbo swap and am down to the transmission stage. Every junkyard I call seems to have 2-3 FWD turbo transmissions, the problem however is that they are all 1990 models. I have researched and found that in order for me to utilize the 1990 tranny into my 1993 talon I need all the 1990 components ( baseplate, cables, linkages). I was wondering if any of you transmission savvy gentlemen have found or heard of a way to use a 1990 tranny with newer 91-94 components?.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I have a '90 tranny in my '91-'94. We swapped one of the shifter arms on the tranny and it works ok...reverse and 5th are a little tricky but if you swap them both it should be ok.

Chuck my man, that is what I like to hear I will try to add that other arm and see what happens.
