1990 coil in a 1991

First, do a search before posting questions as this has been answered a lot. :thumb:

Secondly, don't do it. Go buy a 91 coil pack. They have a different power transistor and wiring harness. You'd have to hack your wiring harness and replace the power transistor. It'll be easier to just buy the right part.

:D Actually, I've been researching it since I did a 91 JDM in my 90 and was having tach problems. I found three or four threads on it. Most were revolving around the tach not working after a swap.

FWIW, my tach still doesn't work :p I think the reverse polarity may have @#$@ed it up. The two odometers and tach signals use different polarities to work.
