Resolved 1990 AWD Turbo ECU

Hey guy's my ECU currently went out in my 1990 eclipse GSX, and i'm looking to buy a new one.
Do you guy's think any of these would work?

90 91 92 Eclipse Talon Turbo ECM ECU Computer MD165531: eBay Motors (item 110571369824 end time Sep-08-10 13:24:41 PDT)

90' Mitsubishi Eclipse ECU turbo 5-speed 90' only *mint: eBay Motors (item 170527867240 end time Aug-22-10 16:16:47 PDT)

A 90 ecm is different than a 91-92. So I'd say no for the first one. The second one sounds ok but I would look up that part #. Also the 2nd one is non eprom if you didn't see that.

That first auction is for a 91-94 Auto AWD car. Second auction came out of a 1990 FWD turbo DSM.

so i guess my real question is can i use a different ECU then the one that came with my car the Ecu is MD145903
is there a change in the 91-94?

Yes, you CAN use another ecu that came out of a 1990 turbo car. The 91-94 ECU's are different in regards to the ignition system. You have to swap pins on the harness in order to use it in a 1990 car. Search on here for those answers.

90 cars have issue with the tach when you put a unmodified 91+ ECU into them. This is above having to swap pins 6 and 14.

Neither of those ECUs are EPROMs. The second one is for a FWD like Mike said car but will work in a AWD,

okay cool yeah i just found this one on ebay the deal sounds 2 good to be true im going to contact the seller and ask for a picture of the board its self
it says automatic but mine has the same part # so i am pretty sure that auto/manual is the same

It's the right part number and that's the key but since he doesn't know about the car it came out of you have to wonder about the condition. But that's always the problem with buying online.
