Hey everybody I was wondering if anyone on here knows anything about these? I'm looking at a 89 "sport handling package" that is in immaculate shape! But I dont know really anything about them tbh. Here's what's done to it.

1989 Chrysler Conquest Tsi Shp. A quick story on the car before I get into detail with parts and mods. This is a January of 89' car which was the last year of production for these. This is a "sport handling package" which was 8 inch wheels in the front and 9 inch wheels in the rear. It also had factory adjustable struts on all four corners. I've owned the car for 3 years and have went over a lot of things on this car and know it pretty darn well.
Interior.
-Seats have no rips or stains, except driver seat. has a tear where your butt goes.
-Has AEM eugo air/fuel gauge that works properly. And glow shift boost gauge on a pillar.
-Brand pioneer new head unit with aux and usb.

Exterior- Car has brand new tires all the way around, clean factory wheels, It was painted 2 tone dodge viper gts blue and gm black with a silver line dividing it. The hood and front panel are plasti dipped but I have original black hood that was on it when I got which had air brushing on it (not my cup of tea). paint is a 8.5 out of 10. No dents or dings. Starion Tail lights. NO RUST I hate rust and bondo.

Suspension and brakes- Has quiet stop pads in the front, and yellow stuff pads in rear. E-brake works amazing. No shaking or jumping when braking. Car has D2 coils on rear with probably 200 miles on them and will come with the front coils brand new still with all the hardware. new tie rods and ball joints. I replaced the steering box with a low mileage one a few months back. New differential mounts.

Engine and fuel- Walboro 255 pump, stock injectors, new fuel filter, cleaned the tank, block was bored 30 over, hyperutectic pistons, chrome rings, factory rods and cut crank. Balance shafts removeds, Brand new non jet valve cylinder head, 3 angle valve grind job, brand new factory cam shaft. Arp head studs and fel-pro head gasket. modified valve cover to fit arp head studs, All machine work was done by ATK motors in California. Stamp with serial number on side of block. When I reassembled the motor I painted and clear coated everything with high temp blue paint to match exterior. mookeeh piping, a.r50 hybrid godspeed/turbonetics turbo. god speed compressor housing and turbonetics exhaust side, 38mm turbonetics wastegate. Be Cool radiator with 2 electric fans, blox boost controller. top end performance down pipe and mookeeh 2.5in cat back exhaust. I know im forgetting tons :/ ill remember it.

The bad- temp gauge stopped working last year. I know the car doesn't over heat im not dumb. doesn't burn oil or antifreeze.
and Speedo cable broke yesterday 11/8/13

I like it a lot! The guy knows a shit ton about it and has done a lot to it! Id probably just keep it stock. Im not big on engine swaps LOL. Its actually a 8 valve now instead of a 12v. He did the head swap which took care of that problem. Im going to look at it tonight. Hes asking 3900 but said hed work on the price with me and he has some extras

Id just like to know a little bit more about it like are they reliable dd's? What are some things I should look at/ for when I loook at it?

Depending on the miles 3900 isn't to bad of a price especially sence its an shp model, they are fairly reliable, after market parts are expensive for that motor like if you wanted to do any upgrades. And bout the only thing I would really say to look for is rust on the rear wheel wells, those things didnt get a primer coat from the factory so they tend to rust threw

I just picked up a 86 a back in August. I have only driven it once. The day i bought it. Since then ive have just been doing maintance on it. Long term goal is to do a 4g swap in it. If your looking for a dd keep it stock, as said before theres not much you can do with the stock throttle body injection. It does have some fuel upgrades and no method of tunning.

I have a Conquest as well which also happens to be a 89 SHP model. Make sure to check for rust around the wheel wells and for frame rot under the car. These cars can be made to go fast with a few upgrades. Head on over to starquestclub.com for all the information you'd need on these bad boys. If it's in good shape, buy it! You won't regret it as these cars are a blast to own.

Its got 139k on the body and 5k on the engine. Depending on how low he'll drop the price I'll buy it. I dont want to strap myself with a 2nd car loan especially when xmas is next month LOL. Thanks alot though ill check those areas!

They are probably best left mildly modded. Some parts are only available used, but most can be gotten new in a few days. They are toys, not winter daily drivers. Check for rust behind the body seam under the rockers. That is a tough fix if it is there. For $3900 the body and interior needs to be real nice. But at the same time the beat to heck rusty one are not really a bargain.

My car getting it done on two injectors. 18g, 1050/1800 injectors on e85. 2g mas, neo afc, versafueler, innovate data logging. 12.96 @ 110 Video by StarquestRescue | Photobucket

Eh the guy never texted me his address so I guess im not buying it now. Oh well.. thanks for the input everybody, will come in handy if I find another one
