Any time you open up a turbo CHRA, you should get the turbo re-balanced.

Remember to use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in your future posts, please.

thank,s for the quick reply ,where can a person buy just the center:coy: section, any suggestion,s

There is no proof that the turbo should be rebalanced every time it's disassembled. The only time I would rebalance a turbine or compressor is if some modification was done (clipping, custom compressor mods) or if the wheel is slightly damaged and you don't want to replace it. The theory is that all turbine shaft and compressor wheel are balanced individually when new, so they should be able to be reassembled and will retain their perfect balance no matter what position the compressor wheel is on the turbine shaft.

I've heard from many turbo builders that new Mitsu turbos come only with balanced components- the CHRA is NOT balanced as a rotating assembly. If this is the case, there sure are alot of 14B's out there with 150K+ on them that prove this method works very well.

only problem I have is the compressor wheel hit the housing and wore away some of the wheelOMG

I would think it isn,t balanced anymore ,but I am putting it back on what have I got to loose ,i haven,t had much luck with any turbo,s I have put on this car. I bought a turbonetics 60-1 but when I got it ,to big for my setup ,now it sits in the closet .I might just sell it and get a gt 2871r .

I have put the 18g back on my car and it run,s great . have had the boost up to 16psi and about 220 kilometers per hour and it is still holding up good.now I have bought a awd and it is going to be my new project .:talon::thumb:
