I've seen a couple of people run these, what is the max hp rating on these, and why don't many dsm'ers run them. Is it a direct bolt-on to a stock 1g manifold. I found one for sale and the guy only wants $400 for it, and for $100 I could finally buy a EV0 3 16g, but I wanna know if the 18g is better.

I've got an Eliminator 18g, which is a td05 with a T3 compressor cover machined to fit. It kinda looks like a t25, and it bolts right up with the side outlet for the SMIC. Since I don't have any fuel or tuning mods I just have it at the stock boost level. I won't be able to crank it up and find out what it can do until probably the spring.

A regular 18g is just like a 16g or 14b. Direct bolt on for a 1g. As for the horsepower rating, I've heard 400 at the crank is the max. There's no officially released compressor chart for it, just a 20g one that somebody scaled down. Turbochargers.com told me that it's rated for 450cfm.

Why don't more people run them? Most people upgrade their 14b for an evoIII for cheaper. Or they skip the 18g and go right to the larger 20g.

I think Mavisky is running one on his turbo'd n/t. You could PM him to see what he has to say about it.

Its mainly because of supply and demand. You could buy a 20g for the price of an 18g because the 20g has a lower price do to competition. Also the evo 316g is pushes about the same amount of air as an 18g. Also a 20g is rated around 600cfm and the 16g is rated around 550cfm and small at 505. Im pretty sure the 18g is rated around 550 also.
