18g turbo

An 18G has an inducer that is 1/10th of an inch larger than an Evo III 16G....and that's the only difference. Theoretically you should hardly notice a difference in spool between a Big 16G and a TD05H 18G. If you're not reaching full boost until 4300 on a turbo with a stock-sized turbine wheel, something is horribly wrong.

i did the 14b swap on my 2g and i only start getting boost at 3600 and get full boost at 4500 at 15psi, something must be wrong?

Yes. Check for boost leaks, pre turbine exhaust leaks, and check to make sure the wastegate flapper is sealing completely.

My cars boost controller has a hole in it and the guy i bough it from said its supost to be that way. is it true?

It should have a 1/32 inch hole next to the nipple going to the waste gate on the mbc.

Sent from my Droid

so its supost to have a hole leaking out?

No. It should have a 2 nipples(with holes for the air to go through) with a vacuum hose attatched to each one. One hose should be attatched to the intake manifold, and the other should be going to the nipple in the wastegate actuator.

Take a pic and show us this "hole" you are speaking of.

I know theres supost to be these 2 lines in and out so the boost controll will do its this but theres just a random hole in the controller which the guy from the performance shop near me said its to leak out air so the ecu thinks its not getting enough air. just a random hole.

Here's what he's talking about. The answer is yes, it should have one tiny bleed port hole.

Note the bleed hole can be on the body, or at the nipple going to the wastegate. In this case the wastegate nipple is the vertical facing one. Holes are essential to operation, without one, the wastegate would get pressure once and never close again.

another "hole" shot.
