I'm planning to buy the a set of 5zigen fn01r 17x8 +43offset and planning to put some 225 or 235 on those rims. my question is, this setup will touch my fender if my car is lowered 1.5 to 1.7 (gallery)? someone has pictures of a 2g with 17x8 with a offset of 40 to 43?

You have a 2ga, with that high of an offset you're going to have more issues clearing the rear upper control arms than the fender. The highest offest I would go for an 8 inch wide wheel is +38, unless you want to get too small of tire which will throw off your speedo and not fill up the wheel well. I found this web site helpful wheel_tire_fitment_FAQ

Oh, and they're not called rims (unless your a gangsta), they're called wheels. The rim is the outer "lip" of the wheel.

It should fit. Personal opinion, but why get an 8 inch wide wheel and only put a 225mm wide tire? I would go at least 235. Anyways, even with that size tire your still gonna be awfully close to that upper control arm. Do you have a camber kit? With 1.5 inch drop you probably have 1-2 degrees of negative camber, which isn't helping the clearance either. Get a camber kit (or washers from home depot...search for this method), and for that size tire I would go with a +40 offset, should give you plenty of clearance on both sides, and so you won't have to roll your fenders.
