Well my problem is basically what the title says. Today it is 90* outside and my idle will sit around 1700 R's. I have read of other people experiencing this as a symptom of a bad water pump. I replaced the water pump two years ago or about eight thousand miles ago. Also, When I blip the RPM's it does not settle back to normal as others describe. I do not run my AC because I do not want to over heat because of the restricted airflow to my radiator. I am wondering if my FMIC could be the culprit since it reduces flow to the radiator. I did end up using the shield which functions to direct the air up and to the radiator. Maybe I need a Fluidyne? Any comments are appreciated, helpful or not, as long as on topic. Thanks everyone.
