16g turbo on stock motor

Hey guys, title says it all i was planning to put on the following mods on a stock motor without a tune. Good or bad idea?

FMIC 27''X7''X2.5'' FMIC INTERCOLLER + 2.5'' ALUMINUN PIPING PIPE KIT
Small 16g Turbo
OBX STAINLES STEEL TUBULAR TURBO MANIFOLD
Also catback added to that (straight pipe)

+no tune. and on stock boost 8PSI

You do not have to be tuned to run those mods, though you'll be able to get the most out of your setup if you are tuned.

I am running a evo 3 16g on my 2g got a full Megan 3" exhaust using stock manifold o2 housing with dump off ebay punishment racing fmic and my car is running fine with no tune. Only thing i think that might have a problem with at high rpms at time feels like the engine is cutting out on me since i guess its not tuned but other then that if your driving normal and not getting on it your good to go! Its best tho if u plan on running more boost get it tuned.

You shouldn't have to tune your car if you stay at stock boost. If your car is stock right now, it will actually be slower with those mods though. Here's why... If your car has a 14b/13g it'll spool faster than the 16g. Plus with the front mount you have that much more tubing to pressurize. You can't turn up the boost much due to having a stock fuel pump and injectors. Your stock fuel system will be maxed out long before your out of the effiency range of the stock turbo. Follow the tech articles for upgrade paths if you want to go fast.
