16g porting??

So i found a good deal on a 16g and i'm thinking of doing the swap into a 2g. Do you have to port the 16g. On RREs site it makes it sound like everything needs to be ported in order to install it. Is this the case? What porting needs to be done in order to be installed? Thanks.

doesent need to be ported but that would be a good idea. if the inlet was like this o and you ported it to O then it would allow more air in. so see porting is a good idea

You don't need to. It would improve performance, however.

If i had a ported turbo then i would need to port match the manifold and O2 housing correct? Just trying to make sure.

once again you dont have to but it would perform better if everything is port matched
