pasted from the dyno page on dsmtuner, thats with a big16g though,
for $200 Id say go for it if its an upgrade!

try to find out what 16g it is (small, big, evo3, etc.) as that would give you very different hp.

if possible, try to inspect the turbo in person or at least look at pictures to see the condition of it and if it has any shaft play. 200 bucks for any 16g is a pretty good price, just make sure it's in a resonable condition.

its a big 16G
which is a hell of alot better than a t25. especially for $200. you will notice a BIG difference between it and the t25.

but he still didn't get one question answered. Can he put a 16g on a car with stock fuel set up?
would you keep stock boost level ? or lower it?

yes, yes, no

It depends on what his stock boost level is. Running a b16g above 15 psi on stock fuel is a bad idea. I ran my EvoIII on Evo8 560s and the stock pump, with good timing at 20 psi in the winter (in Virginia). In the summer, I would have gotten pulled timing like crazy though. After the smic heatsoaked, I would still knock in the winter.

My advice: buy the turbo if it's in good shape. But, I would wait to install it until I could afford Evo8 560s ($120-150) and an AFC of some sort. If you can't borrow a logger from a friend, then add that to the list. If you don't take these precautions, you take a chance at screwing something up.

see you have wandered off of lexistreets eh?! ;) anyway yes you should buy the turbo if not to sell it soon for profit. i'm a little jealous you found it before me but i'll have something similar very soon.

you can run it on your stock fuel system but at low low psi settings like under 15. too make some power with it you'll need injectors 550's or greater, 650's are recommended as some 550's have been maxed out with even 16g's. you'll also need a fuel pump, preferably a air/fuel ratio adjustment tool, intercooler piping, bigger intercooler evently, bypass or "blow off" valve, install kit, gauge(s) to monitor at least boost, and exhaust system. that's what i can think of now. give me a call i'll help you out with anymore questions otherwise see you at parkette next week?

heh i figured i needed a few more opinions than the 3 or 4 of us on lexistreets :D im not keeping the stock fuel system, im gonna squeeze every bit of power out of that turbo possible :rocks: i already know im getting 650cc injectors, APEXi SAFC, greddy type s, and a SBR FMIC along with APEXi EL gauges.

Well those gauges will sure as hell be good for at least 15 horses :p

Do yourself a favor: buy a used Autometer boost and oil pressure/egt gauge, and save the remaining $200 you would have spent on the Apexi's to put toward cams or water injection.

Nice start! It will take a little work and a lot of parts and money to squeeze that big16g to its limits, can't wait to see it though.
