Edm,
I know 160 degree thermostats have been talked about many times before, and most say don't use them because your car will stay in warm-up mode. What is worng with that? because my car is much faster in warm-up mode. Should I swith to a 160, my car is only a summer car.

Your car will continually run rich so that it warms up faster. You will get worse gas mileage and a less efficient burn. Motors run best when fully warmed up, keep it running that way. If you have a problem with overheating, putting a cooler thermostat is just a band-aid for the real problem. Work on that first.

What temp does my car switch out of warm up mode? I have a 180 degree, and my coolant temp is 192degrees.

Ye that is right around operating temps. Your fine there. My car runs like poop in warm up but that may be lack of me doing the right values in my standalone for warmup mode.

If yuor car runs harder when in warm-up mode than when at operating temps I would start looking into your tune. Fuel and timing maps is where you need to start. What are you using to adjust those?
