So I blew up my 2nd T-2small :rocks: so I'm upgrading to a 14b :D

How much boost are they good for? WTF

Feed from the head or oil filter housing? WTF

450cc injectors big enough?

Just some over all info on 14b's would be great, don't know much about them.

It's a good idea to recheck the torque on the turbo bolts after a few heat cycles. A pre-turbo exhaust leak will hurt spool time.

Yea it was a lot of work LOL for someone who's just getting into working on stuff LOL I will re check the bolts good idea.
Yes Kolby I notice the difference LOL when she hit 20psi I was like woah! & we put the mbc on too so that helps. Thanks RAD for all the bruises and help! :p

I told you to recheck the bolts too newb, do you not remember anything I say? LOL

The reason it took so long is because of how many fawk up from the previous person working on it, like rounded off bolts atting the oil return to the pan, so they had to be dremmeled out, and the lack of antisieze on anything LOL.

LOL sorry boys I have a concussion and my brain is stupid I forget way to easliy. No. But we did find a crack n the radiator cap...so we will be getting a new one. Until then she's running both fans and the heat is always on.
No coolant n the oil and plenty in her overflow bottle, so I don't know what her problem is

It could just be the radiator cap. If the system can't build pressure, it won't cool effectively. Good luck.

14b swap was a lot of labor...a lot of problems but it's all done! 3days later I'm running 15-17psi. Works great...seems like there is more boost lag. But I like it. Thanks for all of your help! :D

Are you able to list where & what you bought for the swap? I currently have a 14b sitting in the garage & Im still looking for this banjo bolt with the restrictor in it.

I know I need the following so far:

MF650102 = 10mm Banjo Bolt
Two 10mm copper crush washers
1g Oil Feed Line (14b) from DSM Graveyard?
1g Oil Return Line (14b) from DSM Graveyard?

Any links or stores or vendors would be GREAT! Im anxious to do this swap, but I want it to be a ONE day thing after gathering all the needed materials. Thanks :thumb:

You realize in this very thread someone pointed out there is a 14b/16g in a 2g install kit right??

They also mentioned the 2g install kit DOES NOT HAVE THE LINE TO FEED FROM THE HEAD. Dont waste room, I want answers only. Thanks.

I found the line at extremepsi.com. But might be getting it from a fellow tuner. 14b j-pipes are scarce for the stock smic location. This is for a budget build & my budget is SMALL. Might have to just get a stock smic instead of a supra :hmm:

Which one of these kits do I need to feed from the head with the correct restriction & such? Hopefully the cheaper one...

My friend, you should have checked the link out for yourself. Get familiar with RRE they are god sent.

Road Race Engineering's 2G 16-G Turbo Install Kits and Parts

The first package includes a nice ss oil feed line.
The second package also includes the nice ss oil feed line.
Directly below that they list individual parts, where you can find the ss oil feed line.

Also Ebay has an install kit for you, again with the oil feed line, it can be found here. Eclipse Talon Laser 2G TURBO Install Kit :eBay Motors (item 190312586658 end time Jul-04-09 18:27:17 PDT)

It was easier to just point the fact it was already mentioned out then repost the link. I didn't mean to offend you.

I think I know where two stock 14b j pipes are actually...

I think I know where two stock 14b j pipes are actually...

I stayed up last night for an extra 2 hours just to win a j-pipe on ebay for $20 :D

You didnt offend me, I was just tired & aggravated from the madness. This is a budget build & paying over $200 for an install kit is out of the question.

$20 for j-pipe
$55 for the oil feed line
$25 for the oil return line (but I just just drill my holes bigger from my t25 line)

Budget to the max. In fact, I've been waiting on a reply for a Supra smic... & I think I might have to bite my lip & get another stock 2g smic :|

This was an eye opener thus i didnt know you could get the oil feed from the head. I just installed a 16g and didnt replace the oil feed line and was leaking badly once i started up the car so this is great info thanks everyone.

Quick question, i will be feeding my 16g from the head (i bought the oem feed line) but what am i supposed to do with the feed line from the oil filter housing...? Am i supposed to cap it off with something.....?

Yes, you will need to plug it.

Go to your local stealership and order part# MD145018. That's an OEM 3/8" BSPT plug.
