Cam install ? Do's and Don'ts

Hi im fixing to install the Web 272s i got last week in my car friday me and some buddies are doing it and i have never installed them and wonder what u need to do and the do's and don'ts. Were going to put th car TDC before takeing the olds off and should we mark anything on the top half so when we take the olds off the news will go right back on the same way?

It doesn't really matter, you'll have to re-time your car anyway, so just make sure it's right when you do that. Make sure to keep your cam caps in the proper order when you take them off/on. Overall, it's pretty straight forward.

my main concern is how would u know which way the cam lobes point when u put the new comes on or will they only set on there one way?

The cam has a dowel pin that locks into only one spot on the cam gear. When you set your timing, you'll put the cam in time. Just don't force anything while you get timing set.

I had swap DOHC cams on ford cars so im sure its pretty much the same way
