You guys really need to try race gas. The stuff is like gold!!! Its a DSM on Red Balls!!!
 
11.8 on a big16g, tell us how you did it. Since im not seeing much of those times on the 16gs turbos no more. Well atleast here localy.
I dont want to sound like a hater or anything, but arent you suppose to except more from the 5031 than high 11's? while hitting 390 to the wheels. This aint going towards no one, just curious. And of course running on pump gas and hitting high 11's is always something to show off :)

Sure it isn't the BEST times out there, but high 11's on pump is quite a feat for any setup

A 16g setup hitting high 11's on pump just means there is a mean driver mod involved, or a combination of a well built motor and trans!

Im running the SCM50 as well and my goal is also High 11's on pump...Still on an SAFC and 680's, but with a custom eprom chip (2-step/injector comp/etc) and a wideband of course

My car is decently gutted, lots of weight reduction so Im pretty confident that I can hit my goal even without some specific helpful mods (dsmlink, meth, built motor/trans, 4 bolt)

You mean race gas, right? I really want to try some soon. That'll get me into the 11's for sure but pump is sooo much cooler!:D

That's my goal... Still stock motor and tranny... and I guess I can sorta drive:) But that's been my dream since i've had this car. 11 second 'full wieght' (the car is lightened, but i mean no removed parts for *track only*) pump gas daily beater. In time... i hope..
 
Hey Fonz did you dyno your car at your "new" or best time made? Bc how did you hit 11's on 300hp?

I haven't hit 11's yet. The car put down 300awhp a few days after it went 12.1 . Baselined at 266awhp (at lower boost then when i ran the 12.1)... so I dont know. 300whp for a 2800 lb car equals 111mph traps, so i need to squeeze out a little extra power and drop a bit of weight. Need to hold 20+ psi up high in the revs (always drops to 17). I'm working on it:)
 
i yet to see some mid 11's on these 5031bb turbos. Lets see the number guys! Since the 16g turbos are somewhat capable of running high 11's I do wonder what these bigER turbos can do.

What Kind of Dyno...that makes all the difference! My car on a mustang dyno with that new software that they run would probally only put down 325 or so. If that. On the dyno jet it was 397.

Possibly but with the rest of the numbers on the time slip no I guess not.

I used the No Lift to shift the entire way through..
I don't feel like the car has much more without putting race gas in her.
It was a really good run with little if any error and will be hard to repeat.
I flow 44 to 45 lbs. per min....
It was a hot night in the 80's and humid as hell. Remember that Mitsu housings aren't that efficent and that's why Forced performance redesinged them for the 3052 that everyone loves..(To much $ for me)
I'm going to look and see how many 50's are in 11's on pump only.

This is what my head is exploding because i dont know what set up i should go with, evoIII or the 5031BB. both of those turbos can give me a 11'sslip. But one requires more of a driving skill (witch I have) so im head buttin' beetwen the two turbos.

Everyone tells me I can drive but damn! I would go with the BB 50. How about the FP3150.

I'm sure you'll see some extra efficency from FP. Oh and I don't know anyone who doesn't love their bb50. It spools almost as quickly as evo b16g but inbetween shifts it never leaves at all.
 
that is too much out of my price range. where did you purchase your 5031 at? yeah i have heard some stories on how the evo falls flat on its face when they downshift, ect..any cons that you can tell us about your bb50
 
I also see your running 660's hows that working for you? Is it asking you to go bigger maybe?
 
I ordered my pte 5031 bb from slowboy..(local shop) and I love it. I can't complain about anything really. It doesn't like timing but that could be many things. Great Tourque and awsome power band. I have a link to my dyno sheet in my profile if you want to see it. Yeah...the injectors..Let's just say on the dyno dsmlink was saying 100% duty cycle..not good I know that's why I turned down the boost 2-3 lbs and now see 90-93 duty cycle. Know anyone selling 750's or bigger cheap? Or willing to trade for denso 660's.
 
Yesterday on my way back from the shootout, I tried 23psi and doesnt agree, it knocks so I pulled off some of the boost. I cant run 24 like some of you did on 93octane.
 
LOL, oh ok you too huh. Darn. Race gas? Nah, not yet, later for sure. Still want to see what I can squeeze out of it.
 
I put down 350awhp and 310awtq at buschurs saturday. Thats at 24psi on the 50trim, 20* timing, and a max of 7 counts knock through the run. Most of the knock didnt come till after 6600. All of that was on 93 octane.
