I think some people are a little confused, so here is some cliff notes. Comment in question is here

I know,
I'm just happy that I have the most powerful awd atx in the planet:)

The comments that came after

Looks about as fast as one of my crews, Marcus Carters, DSM. Low 9's doesn't sound like the most powerful AWD on the planet Nelson. Sounds like atleast 3rd or fourth... Atleast you have an English gearbox...

and

Marcus is talking to you in that manner because you're current best time isn't even in the top 30 of fastest times or drivers in the Mitsubishi AWD world. Take a look at this list:

DSMTimes.org - Home

As someone mentioned earlier, if you're not running sub 8's you'd be lucky to even qualify.

You come in to this board and flapjack about having the "fastest most powerful mitsubishi in the world" yet you're name ain't even on the list. From the last pass time you've posted in your sig, you won't even qualify to run with the real killers because the top 25 mitsu racer's in the world run sub 8's.

Ok, as you can clearly see he stated most "POWERFUL" auto. That doesnt mean fastest or quickest. That means the most power. If you know somebody that makes more than 1074 through an auto trans, by all means post it up. Im almost positive you wont find anyone that makes more through an auto. So im thinking his claim is pretty close.

While were talking about it, where is Marcus on that top 30 list? I know nelson would be if he turned in a time. Spot 30 is a 9.27, so pretty sure nelsons 9.teen would fall under that.

I know yall keep talking about he wont even qualify, but has Marcus even been faster than the 9.teen? The fastest pass i found of his car was a 9.30, so not exactly sure where all this is coming from.

Id also like to state those top 30 cars are not going to show up. Only 21 from that list has ran 8's, and i counted 6 off the top of my head that are a thing of the past. Has there ever been a full 8 second quick 16? I could be wrong, but I dont think so. Not that it wont happen this year, just wondering about the past.

That list isn't very complete. They're many more cars in the 8s than that, including some that should be there. Secondly the blue 2nd gen is from Denver correct? I wonder what the DA was in his pass? He may have the highest reported power through an auto as some of the faster autos either dont dyno at all or get the car semi tuned on the dyno tgen turn it up and dial it in at the track.

Nelson, how much does your car weigh?

Yeah, its not up to date at all. Lots more 8 second cars, but lots of those are gone. Sean hasnt ran in forever. Jake hasnt ran in the last 4 or 5 years. Lots of others also. I was just using the list that was brought into the thread. To be honest the rwds werent even included in the list that was linked.

Regardless I hope all 8 and 9 second dsm's and 3si's show up this year. Last couple of years were pretty awesome, so hope this one tops them all.

Nelson, how much does your car weigh?
When I did 9.18@157 the scale at the track right after the run was 2890 with full interior and me inside
I'm doing a lightweight front bumper and some little more stuff but it should be on the 2800 full weight

Marcus, I do really hope your gonna be at the Shoot Out as well, For either of you to qualify for QWK class, well it's simple, crank the shit up, floor it, let off the brake. Now beating the Abeles, ASAP, Devin, myself, and a few others you might want to just pull wastegate line and pray. I think this year theres gonna be some surprises happen. I know this is gonna be the fastest QWK class ever in it's 20 years.

do you mean 3800lbs or are you really down to 2800lbs if so great job on cutting the fat, are you running a 3speed auto? or are you still trying to make that 4th work with all your power?

I've been wanting to ask you, do you know off the top of your head the rolling chassi weight is on your skinned racecar? How much does it weigh race ready?

You still running full interior? You going to consider skinning it, or keeping it street legal?

Same question for you Nelson, by chance know your rolling chassi weight without the engine? That's everything on and in the car except the motor and gearbox?

Thanks.

i take it you plan on selling these parts when you know they work

if they work yes why not.:)
i have the full billet auto case design ready to be mill to accept the big 4th gear, some clutches , carbon discs and much more. It looks like next year it will be sick for the autos i bet as you know this takes a lot of time, time that i don't have. It can be done YES you have to be positive and i'm not a easy guy to give up that easy:p:p

i was just watching the dsm list and damn that list is big i bet in one or two year dsm will take over supraforums.
i was like the #26 on that list . I'm sleeping here LOL.

That quote has me pumped for this year. :applause:

As someone mentioned earlier, if you're not running sub 8's you'd be lucky to even qualify.

Lol You can run 6s, if its not powered by a 4G63/4G64 you cant even run in the Q16 class as per the rules. So I don't even know what everybody is talking about, Nelson is already disqualified from running in that class before the car even hits the track. Fail.

QUICK 16 (Q16)-Sponsored by Kiggly Racing
-Qualifying at 7pm Saturday, Sunday at 10 am and 12 pm.
-Heads up. Anything goes as long as it is 4G63/4G64 powered. NO tube chassis cars. You MUST qualify at one of the qualifying times to get on the ladder.
-On your windshield you will put in large print, Q16 followed by the number from your tech card. This is your class/car number for the day.
-Any one who doesn't qualify can can move to another class their car is LEGAL to run in.

Common nelson 4G63 swap the VR-4 you have 16 days!

I went to see the rules again after a PM i had saying to read the rules because my car would not meet the rules there and yes i can not race on the Q16.
this was all my fault for not paying attention to the rules, for some reason i thought the Q16 was for any powered Mitsubishi engine. I post on the event thread if can be change but David said it was to late to do that so looks like its over for :coy:
Either way i can not drive 12 hours just for a test and tune. hope you guys have fun and some records will be show at the event. I would try to pay more attention to the rules next year to support and sponsored the event again.
I hope you understand i was excited to go but. I feel like an ass now:banghead:

NBF

I realize this is against the rule a bit but to beable to help Nelson get his car to make that full pass, and it's peer tech anyhow, I will not contest his car. but Im sure others will most likely.

its 11:00 pm and i just finish swapping a transmission to the car, we had been testing this car so hard that the front clutch was starting to slip with the nitrous at the launch. well a new transmission is in now and its all new to go. Then i went to the event thread and saw that i can still go for the Q16 class!! man this is great.
Thanks David and all that participate on that for letting me in.:hellyeah:
