Ill have a PTE SCm50 trim turbo with 1000cc injectors running at 10psi till engine break in period is complete. after that i plan to run 18-20 psi on it. any of you guys running that set up that can tell me my estimated mpg or how many miles on a single tank of gas?

Thanks for the help,

MPG is irrelevant to the size of the injector under normal driving circumstances as long as they are dialied in correctly. MPG all depends on how heavy your right foot is. Assuming a 16 gallon tank @ 23 mpg, you can expect to get about 368 miles on a full tank.

368?! I'm lucky if I get a hair over 220 on nothing but a turbo back  . And mostly highway miles

Have you ever filled your tank to the top, reset your trip odometer and driven till empty, and then refilled, and then divided the miles driven by the gallons used when you filled up again? If you're not getting at least 20 on gasoline there's something wrong.

Link says i get 5mpg at full boost with fic2150s ;) heh off boost? Prob 25

Don't worry, you won't be using any gas when that turbo dies on you :p

But like others have said, if the car is dialed in good and you stay out off the skinny pedal, it should get pretty much the same mpg as stock.

It's all in how you drive the car, It takes me 1/4 tank to get to the local track, burn half a talk at the track in a handful of passes and use the last 1/4 to get home.

I just did, and I was able to get 240 on nothing but highway going 60-65. OMG

My original stock GST gives me over 350m a full tank, driving over 75mph only on the highway.
On the other hand, my GSX with PT1000 injectors and Holset turbo gives me a little over 280m a full tank, driving over 75mph only on the highway.

Like all the others stated, it all depends on the foot and how good your injectors are dialed in.

However, Rules are Rules, More power means more fuel.

Upgrading to newer style injectors from the old DSM injectors does affect gas mileage due to better atomization/ angle/spray patterns being used today. My 90GSX was getting 25mpg mixed driving with a crappy tune. I was using PTE 780's.

Matched deadtimes help a little too

Wow i'm messin up. I get around 15-16mpg in town with ID1000cc's on E85 with a 16g. Maybe drops it down because colorado has a bunch of hills and a climb one decent one everyday coming back from work

You won't get the same fuel mileage on e85 as you will 93 ...

Not sure what that's supposed to mean? But 15-16 is terrible, even for e85.

EDIT: terrible may be a bad word, as it is completely depended on how much you go into boost and how long you stay there.

E85 has 1/3 less energy than normal pump gas. I would expect to see a 20 to 30% decrease in fuel mileage on e85. :thumb:

So yes, 15-16 mpg seems rather low for e85 but, I'm sure he isn't babying the car either. ROFL

I know about e-85, I tuned my car my car on it, and I get way better mileage than 15-16mpg. When driving like a normal person I see around 20-25mpg, depending on the conditions.

His analogy is pretty misleading. That is what I was getting at.
