they go for cheap,there original OEM cams, u could buy one and then have it reground

ive seen em go for like 25$ ..new..so you cant go wrong i guess

My last headgasket job occured about a year ago, on the side of the freeway (I should have known better than to run 20 pounds on piss gas, but I was feeling lucky). Took about 90 minutes. It's so easy to change, that I keep a spare HG in the trunk. The 1.8 rocks.

only 90 min. to change a headgasket on the 1.8 AND while on the side of the road...

I would pay cash money to see that one for myself...

they did have those same exact cams on the english ebay.. they are stock but brand new, i was going to get one but when i emailed them i couldn't tell what they were saying .. they were on there about a week or 2 ago

thats comparing my 16g with a garret t3/t4 see they arent really better yea the compressor housing is bigger but the inlet is smaller then the 16g and the fins arent as good

3 as far as i know ginsu on did and then i did and then umm i think his name is skipracer on dsm1eights did it too but as far as i know we are the only three

to bad mines not manual or i would do it... stupid automatics. plus the tranny is going so its pointless to even attempt it and i don't have the money for a new tranny so im screwed

dam i wish i woulda known last week i jus sent a car to the junkyard like 2 days ago all it as left was the tranny i dunno why i didnt keep it it was a 5 speed it had everything u need for the at/ mt conversion i woulda given you cheap dam sry bro

have you ever changed a head gasket on a 1.8?
if you have all the tools ready, its a pretty quick job. no where near as complicated as a 2.0 liter

i havent been to the post office to find out yet.. BUT a good friend is flying to tampa in may...
if your willing to wait that long,he can ship it to you from tampa when he gets there
