Nah, I doubt it. There's manifolds available that bolt up, and a FAQ I wrote 4 years ago detailing everything needed for a turbo setup. But nobody with a 1.8 wants to pay to build up a 4G37 when turbo AWDs are so cheap.

i dotn look at the 1.8L that often but if they mak aftermarket pistons and head stuff for that motor, i see a rev monster. turbo that thing with good pistons and a evo 16g and i think it would kick ass

wow not bad... thats a pretty good idea for mounting the turbo, doesn't look that hard to make if you can weld and all that :thumb:

yea i figured you 1.8L guys would like that. 1.8L need soem lovin once and a while

if he can make a kit that bolts right up and works for a 1.8L anyoen with a 1.8 would be all over it. every 1.8L guy on here basically asks that question at least once, " can my car be turbod"

think about it. he makes an affordable kit hes good to go.

You honestly think someone is going to buy that when they could just buy a manifold for it and not have all that extra piping causing even more lag? Even my Honda friends wouldn't buy that.

o boy y do you hafta hate . im not looking to start a business here its jus a turbo 1.8 it hauls ass keeps up with a 2.0 turbo all stock so im happy ive done no mods to it at all exept its bored .50 over thats it its a rare thing trust me iver searched for the manifold plz tell me where i can find one because ive been looking .. u think making that piping was fun ?? .. and yes a lil bit of lag but itll get up and go when it kicks in . but thats no mods i plan to do a little bit to it ive allready installed 2.0 turbo injectors.. by the way anybody know what cc they are? and i plan to add afc 3inch exhaust all the way from turbo to the back of the car which will let it spool a litle faster and a few other things .. this is a really sloppy kit look at it.. oil dripping everywhere u can tell the turbo was really bad look at the oil.. i plan to make a better kit eventualy but this one will get me by for the time being.. :)

If you're referring to having a 14b "bolt up" to a 1.8, I believe this is a first.

But as for the 1.8 being turbo'd, it's been done for well over 2-3 years. Ginsu417 wrote a VFAQ on it on the old dsmtalk forums. Not only was it done, but done quite nicely. I doubt compression's 1.8 will see 20 psi ;) .

sweet hmm that awesome gotta find me one of those i need ta lose the lag .. well its been done now time to make a better 1.8 turbo model maybe alot neater do that colt header idea LOL i saw one this morning LOL what turbo bolts up to the colt?

TC0x series. But the turbo doesn't clear the front balance shaft housing on the 4G37 block, so the manifold requires a spacer or, preferably, an adapter plate that angles the turbo away from the motor so it'll clear the front of the block. If you make an adapter, you'll be able to bolt in any turbo you want.
