1G 1.8L manual ECU into 1.8L auto car

I have a 92 1.8L auto eclipse with a bad ecu, and a 94 5-speed Talon 1.8L with a blown motor but good ecu, are these interchangeable? On shucks website the part numbers are identical, but ya know... its shucks.I have found lots of people on here saying ya it'll work, but its always about the 4g63 or turbo. I just need to know if i stick this thing in there it isn't gonna kill my car. Thanks.

MD159561 was used on 91 through 94 1.8L Federal cars and MD159562 on the California versions.
