So nobody's racing this year?!??!
haha

Well if anyone is interested, 100 octane gas at the 76 on woodside road is $6.29 a gallon.

Im trying to get a tune on 100 octane over a FFTEC in the next week or two, then after then i'll figure out a time when i can go race at the track. If i cant get time off work, i might plan a saturday to go hit up SAC CMI instead of infineon wed night drags.

Hopefully these new wheels/tires help me put the power down to the ground!

weaksauce!!! i heard that through the grapvine...

What were you doing at the dyno again? I thought you said the power you made was all anyone could ever want? haha

Good luck getting the trans situation worked out! I want to see what your beast can do at the track!!!

I lowered the base fuel pressure and put on a new ISC motor so it needed a new tune. It had all kinds of idle problems because the ISC didn't work when I first got it tuned. I ran out of injector due to my volts dropping into the 12.6 area. The fuel pumps just aren't getting enough voltage so it's time for a boost-a-pump.

i know a few people that are going on the 20th, and i wanted to try to make it there, but im going to be at the dyno that day (hopefully)

Anybody want to roll out to infineon on the 20th? Im planning on going but dont want to be there my self. :coy:

I have a final next day but if anyone doesn't mind letting me ride with them I can take pics of their runs. :thumb:

I've been wanting to go out to the track, but haven't because I didn't want to go out there by myself. What time does it start? I'm in SF, and probally don't get off of work till around 3.

3pm to 10pm. :thumb:

I think ill be going to CMI the 30th instead. A couple of my brother friends are going. Plus, I still have to relocate my battery back to the engine bay and polly my mounts.

Yuri, That would be awesome. You can roll with me on the way there if you have some time off on the 30th.

PS: Does anyone have the battery bracket for 2g and the 2 white wires that goes to the fuse box?

30th sounds good to me, the only thing that would keep me from going is the state my car is in at the time (I'm not taking it to CMI either way, but if I just put the clutch in and want to get the tranny back on the car then something like that would take priority). But yeah, definitely looking forward to going! Shoot me a PM with your info whenever and we can try to figure something out.

Dave, I'll go out to infineon with you if you want, just roll around the water box. :thumb:

I think I'll head out to Infineon this Wed, 6/24. I put my car on the dyno yesterday and got the tune dialed in fairly well. It made 444 AWHP on Full Function's mustang dyno. :thumb: Now I want to see what it'll do at the track! Anyone else going?

You don't need me to post this but i need to bump up my posts so count me in Dave.

See you at the shop tonight if you're still there i gotta get some stuff done on the Evo :D

Is anyone else planning on heading out?

Good and bad for me....

Personal best of 10.43 and i even let off 125mph

Something in my gutt said let off ....... maybe a blessing in disguse as when i shut the car off in th epits it started to leak coolant from the front timing assembly so we think the water pump went bye-bye.

That was the only run........maybe i should have stayed in it......oh well nest time!

Hope Dave posts up as we didn't want to but we left him there as his car was still running and i had work at 7am this morning so we tried to get back at a reasonable time.

Hi Pat, your run was very exciting! Everything went right, from the launch, power, and each shift. I was really hoping to see a 9 second run that day. Sean looked at the AEM datalogs and saw that you were already doing 131mph when you let off, then trapped 125mph. I think if you stayed on it you would've seen 139mph speeds.

I forgot to add that my 444hp dyno run was done at 28psi. I'm still pushing the limit of the 3 bar map sensor.

My track runs were a mix of good news and bad news. The good news is that I cured the launch bogging issue. My best 60' time was 1.58, and it felt great! I nailed the launch on all 3 runs. RPM's never went below 5900rpm on all 3 launches. Unfortunately I couldn't shift into 2nd. I had trouble shifting on all 3 runs. I also had a little grinding at CMI a few weeks ago, and yesterday it was much worse. I think it's time to rebuild my clutch.

Damn dave, looks like shifting is owning a lot of us DSMr's this year!!!

Im still looking at getting my clutch setup and switching to SD pretty soon.

Right now im looking for a new daily driver. I sold the civic haha. Acura TL maybe???

For some reason my car is running lean... like in the 12's lean. THe check engine flashes for knock sometimes. Its wierd because i loaded the last tune you guys did on the dyno...maybe it was an aggresive one i'll load one from my first run at the track last time so i know its the right one.

Danny, IIRC the tune we did on the dyno should have the A/F ratio at 10.9 to 11.4 for 100 octane. If it's leaner than that I'd look at the fuel system to make sure it can supply enough fuel; check the fuel pressure, FPR reference hose, and pump. Didn't you just rewire the pump? Or check the intake and maf for any changes that might alter the airflow signal. I know that if you clean and over oil the KN filters, the excess oil can coat the maf sensor and change the readings.

Pat, I guess I'd like to see the vid of my run just for the sake of watching the launch.

its wierd... i checked fuel pressure its dead on. I'll look around at other things. didnt clean the filter or anything havent touched anything except i dropped 3 turbo bolts again so i put those back in and tightened em down.

I'll go check a few things over in a bit when the car cools down, i was just driving around.

The car doesnt knock *too* bad at 12 a/f haha, I happened across a new skyline the other night in a friendly area for a nice pull to 4th gear. I had to play catchup because I didnt thing anything was going down so the guy only got to see how quick 3rd and 4th can reeel someone in haha.

Whoops, I just peeked at your dyno sheet. The AF ratio was around 10.5 to 11.0, so if you're running around 12.0 now, that's a big change.

I'm glad to see that Skyline owners are willing to show off their car's potential. There was a Skyline at the track last Wed, and a new Genesis turbo4, which has the same engine as the new EVO X but with a smaller TD04 turbo. Oh and there was a Tesla out there, too.

Sorry Dave but we were checking out our seats when you made the pass so it's a view from further off the line.

When we head out again i'll be sure to get some better footage for ya.

Danny, you should give me a ride in your car again sometime, I think I'm in love with that 2nd gear pull. :shhh: :sneaky:

@ Dave - if it's not one thing then it's the other, huh? I hope you get that shifting figured out.

@ Relentless - LOL.
