Whoops, I forgot to call Danny. what's up?
I went out to race and left my drag radials home. I just wanted to have some fun and not worry about hitting my absolute best time. And it was fun!
On my first pass the wind pushed my car back when I was staged, so that's a technical redlight. It showed up on the timeslip as a 3.0 60 ft time. The clock started when I redlighted, so it added to my time. Overall time was 12.6 @ 126mph. If that had been a 1.8 60ft time the run would've been good.
Run #2 was 11.1 @126 with a 1.8 60ft time. I spun all 4 wheels all the way through first gear while bouncing off the 9k rev limit! A few guys told me the crowd liked it. It was also cool to race against a supercharged GTO on slicks and win.
Run #3 was almost the same, except I tried to rush the 3-4 shift and missed it. 11.4 @121.
My final run was another tire spinning high rpm blast. 11.3 @125. That was my last run of the night since I suck at bracket racing, and I was in the Comp Rod category, those guys are good.
I was happy to see that my best 1/8th run got me over 100mph. 7.2 @102mph.
It was a fun night. I also got to see the ultimate newbie move. There was a guy in a civic trying to stage his car, but the wind kept pushing it back. He already redlighted the first time he rolled back, but the starter was trying to give him a second chance. So he kept rolling forward into the staging lights, then rolling back again. After 3 or 4 more tries he drives a few feet beyond the staging lights and stages by going in reverse, then holding position with the brakes. It works and he's finally staged and not moving. The lights count down, he revs the engine, the light goes green and his car jerks and lurches about 5 feet backwards!!!
So that's why you weren't at the shop i totally forgot

Did you forget the DR's or did you leave them at home on purpose?
I think i would have tried to run in the street class if i was on my street tires.......those Comp Rod guys are on point

By the way Dave if you see this before i see you at the shop there is a blow-up parts pic on Jesse's desk if you wouldn't mind taking a look to circle the parts needed so i can get on th ehorn to the local Mitsu parts dept.
If not i'll be calling Buschur tomorrow morning to get the trans parts here to us ASAP (mon is a holiday
)

at the civic, sometimes i see people at red lights in the city with their reverse lights on and i stop FAR back haha
