Well over the past month i was installing my rebuilt engine in my car. i started with end play .004 end play and now have .024.... boarder line crank walk on a motor with 30 miles on it. i was told that when the shops turns the cranks they dont polish where the trust bearing makes contact with crank on the sides. i went through dsm graveyard and was told by the owner they do every thing but the crank work. pulling the trans tomorrow and droping the crack lets hope I dont have a spun bearing and or a scored crank... ?

It depends on how much thrust face wear there is, It may have been faced, so you will have to measure from face to face.

Also , when you installed the crank, what lube did you use?

If you used a thick paste lube, like white lithuim greease, or moly engine assembly lube, that can and will give you a false measurement sice you can not compress it out till the oil washes it away.
