My other daily driver!

My old 95 Talon resurrected. Every single nut, bolt, wire, and glass from my wrecked talon ported over to another unicorn early 95 model GSX shell.

Summer is wrapping up in the south, but these storms sure haven’t slowed down. Let’s be honest, these wipers stink. I needed a better solution. Well I am here to tell you, nothing is better than oem Honda wiper blades. And bonus, you can replace the rubber later for $5-10. After a little back and forth I found these are the length we need:

22”
2012 Honda Civic Coupe: Honda 76630-TS8-A02 Windshield Wiper Blade 2012-2015 Civic New, Genuine

16” 425mm

76630-SV4-A02

Now, these will bolt on, but they aero will be backwards. So, get your flat head screw driver and flip the part that attaches to the wiper arm. Then they fit perfectly and work absolutely squeak free! And like I said, refills are dirt cheap from Amazon.

Finally found some time to build my third version of headlights. This time with far superior Morimoto Bi-Led 2.0 projectors.

July 24: sent my seatbelts out for replacement. Few days later and like brand new. They retract now automatically which was a welcome change. Cannot recommend enough. Safetyrestore.com

Good to know !!
June 25: sent the 2g rear lsd oem axles off to a local shop in Bufford GA. Turns out the owner Jon loves our cars and knew literally everything about our axles. After souring him another axle with a good inner cup, he completely rebuilt and reassembled to oem. I cannot recommend cv source enough!!! He only works on oem but trust me, go there.

Like new!!!

Where did you find the alignment tool/jig for drilling the holes to mount the projectors? I've had zero luck finding them anywhere online.

Google “mounting plate retrofit tool.” I want to say I dropped $100 on it. I do a lot of retrofits for friends and family so sort of bit the bullet once

This is a go right now and buy mod you should absolutely do this weekend! Use your oem 2g foglight as a base to adapt/mount a brand new 70mm morimoto fog light. The output is absolutely bonkers and it only takes about 20mins a light, start to finish.

One morimoto, one oem 2g, and no headlights on!

It’s been a super busy past few months. Shot some content and ended up simply giving up on editing some other stuff. Work is just crazy busy.

Here is the rear Ohlins install video. They were pretty straightforward even though I did them sans ramps and in the street. Just make sure you tighten everything at ride height.

So anyways. Got to trying to film the front install. It was a lot. Volk lower arms, FIBA upper arms, and the coilovers. Well turns out you have to open the oem shock mount holes a hair to allow the ohlins to fit. A simple round file and a few minutes of patience remedied that. And yes, that also meant the new to me strut bar also got the same treatment.

How to put your Volk Lca’s back together when you don’t pay attention.

What I believe your FIBA upper arms should look like assembled.

I may stich together a few hours of me installing all these parts at a later time and upload them to YouTube.

So after all of that was installed, I had the car towed to Gran Turismo East in Atlanta. Going to fast forward 3 weeks and $1500 later…and I got the car back. It is aligned to the specs John at Mullerized had suggested. Drove it home in practically a tornado and then promptly left the country on vacation.

So how is it?!

Quiet (at first). Poised. Like all parts are actually working in harmony. You can drive over speed bumps and the car doesn’t crash about. The car does not pull back to center as much as before but rides well on the highway. The FIBA v2 bumpsteer kit really helped knock out most of that behavior. May go back and tweak the alignment some more, but for now, I am just putting miles on it.

Now some months later when I am posting this, the rear remains great. The front is quite loud at slow speeds. Either the heim joints are just loud or the springs make noise, or probably all of the above. Still rides well, just makes some racecar noises.

My car has been leaking oil in the street every day. The custom oil cooler lines I originally fabricated from the hydraulic store just were not working. Few conversations with the robot and I went and made a purchase at pegasus racing. Highly recommend them. Here is what I bought to adapt to my evo9 ofh.

This stuff is SUPER easy to put together. Literally built the lines in 30 mins and were leak free on the first crank. Highly recommend them.
