My other daily driver!

My old 95 Talon resurrected. Every single nut, bolt, wire, and glass from my wrecked talon ported over to another unicorn early 95 model GSX shell.

My weekend car

Read more about this vehicle here...

Found another early 95 gsx roller and purchased it for ~1300. Towed it home with my friends nissan and got the boys to help me push it into the garage. And that’s when the real work started. Move everything from the red talon to the black gsx. Upon further inspection, the gsx wiring harness was hacked to death. I also learned that the tail light harness was different. Omg, I have to move the wiring too?! Yep. Hours and hours of work in 30 minute increments. Work a little. Walk away.

Eventually I got to the point where I needed more hands. Called my friends all back over and in a long weekend we knocked out the motor/trans/drivetrain/suspension swap. This also included having to put the gsx somewhat back together. I eventually offered all the parts locally that were left for free. Once we were done, I sent the red talon chasis to be crushed. Rip!

Oct 2023. Operation AC. My oem ducting and undertray were long gone. Time to make my own! Scored some plastic from Amazon and just started figuring it out. Cut cardboard first and then transferred to the plastic. I drilled the plastic and used another amazon purchase of universal fender clips to attach pieces. At the top of the radiator support the plastic just compression fits. The shot self tapping screws into the bottom of the bumper support. Now air that flows through the fmic can go directly to the rad.

Aug 24: Scored some second hand wilwood’s. Youtube university to learn how to safety wire the 2 piece rotors. Also learned the how the stupid bleeders worked after breaking one off which required drilling to luckily get out. Turns out they are two piece.

All new bleeders and braided lines installed bleed with castrol srf.

Sept 24: Went to see my buddy about some replacement rear 6x9 and ended up with 8 barely used dyn audio speakers. He built me some 6x9” to 6.5” plates for the rear and I did the rest. I never realized you could put 3” speakers in the actual knee panels!!! Took a bit but figured out how to make them fit leveraging a little of the abs from the bumper build. The passenger side almost bolted in. Rewired everything with the only speaker cable I had laying around back to the dyn audio crossovers. Used a glow stick to help run through the oem door rubber. Note I had to drill through that next part inside the car to where thar door rubber sits in order to get the cable through. Not fun but the end result is awesome. The front 6.5” speakers are mounted to the oem door speaker plastic adapter after cutting them with a dremel.

Oct 24: Car still not stopping well. Re power bleed using the universal brake top. Pro tip, use a wood working squeeze clamp along with the chains to make it leak free. Then decided my rear vented rotors must be too thin. Hit up fibamotorsport, and in a matter of days we had a solution! Now he sells them, you’re welcome. New metal masters rear pads as well.

Feb 25: Got my buddy to do the third timing belt job on this oem motor. And yes, because of mileage. (300kish so far but the odometer says 80k now). Timing belt kit from extreme with the better aftermarket water pump. Also got him to install a used evo9 ofh and cooler. Unfortunately, I only had so much line to work with so he just shoved it in the bumper and sent it. Idles like new and zero oil leaks is lovely.
