Adding some pics of the mcr alternator, kill switch, and battery box. Im going to tidy this up a bit better.










I also plan on getting a piece of plywood/mdf and making a trunk cover so I'll have usable space.

I'd cover a write up on this but I feel it's been done so many times, I'd be beating a dead horse.

So during this swap I debated on swapping over my steering column I had converted to electric power steering, mainly because working under the dash is already enough of a pain in the ass, this big motor makes it even worse. But I did it anyways, I figure if worse comes to worse I can just remove the motor that's held in by 2 m6 bolts.



I went out to finish up some stuff on the car over the weekend, looking for leaks I noticed a big puddle of gear oil under my transmission. So with further investigation I noticed it coming from the passenger side axle seal. I just replaced this axle seal, so here I am again pulling the passenger side axle. I got the axle pulled and pulled the seal out. First thing I did was grab the axle seal and put it around the sealing surface of the axle, which apparently I should've done from the start. It did not seal up at all. Luckily I had ordered another axle seal from a different brand SKF and that fit nice and snug.

Finally got everything all put back together and was able to do a little driving. Getting used to this clutch setup is going to take a bit I can already tell.

So my dudes custom shifter bushing kit came in, alot sooner than I expected it. So I decided to get some pics of the wore out components, it's a night and day difference. It's crazy how wore out these shifter base components were.




And finally the finished assembly.



So after I got everything put back together, as much of an improvement it was replacing all the worn components the shifter still had some slop to it. This was caused by the pin that was actually holding the shift lever. I plan on upgrading shifter setups sometime, so I decided to weld this one up so there was no movement in it.





That gap there prior to me welding that rod/pin....whatever it's called was actually hitting the shifter base. If you look closely you can see it. This is where it sits now, and now almost no play in the assembly.

I'll be knocking out the transmission side tomorrow maybe. I also got pretty much every part to redo the whole front end suspension setup as almost every part there is wore out as well.
