ECMlink Changed MAP sensor now fuel setting all wrong.

Good evening.

To start, I was running a GM MAF with ECMLink v2.5. Had everything dialed in. Car ran great. Decided to bite the bullet and go to v3 speed density. Immediately my global fuel and dead time were all out to lunch. Had to drastically change that. From -44.9 global and 315 dead to -30 and 705. Well my Omnipower MAP died on me in less than a month, so I got an AEM 3.5 bar.

I just installed it, change the sensor configuration in v3 to AEM from Omnipower. Sensor seems to be reading correctly but my fuel setting are way out to lunch again.

Just to get a decent idle AFR I'm sitting at -55 global and 0 deadtime.

Any reason why I keep having such drastic changes? My FIC injectors are 750 and ECMLink says I should be -40 and 330 but the car will run like a dog.

Hopefully someone has an idea.

What is "run like a dog"? Can you be more objective? Can you tell if it's rich or lean? You sure that was a stock MAF you had? Is the speed density installed correctly? Post a log.

Sorry run like a dog meaning I was sitting at 10.5:1 AFR on my LC1 wideband when with the Omnipower earlier today it would idle at 14.7:1.

Speed density is all done correctly. I had Thomas and Dave from ECMLink originally look at my logs when having to drastically change my deadtime and global fuel when going from v2 to v3. They said everything looked right.
I just don't understand why now changing from Omnipower to AEM would screw with my fuel settings.
 
Got my alternator done and recorded a quick idle log.

I've also included a MAF log, and my a v3 log from my Omni MAP sensor. You can see the differences in fuel settings.
Nothing was change engine wise other than going from v2 MAF to v3 than Omni MAP to AEM MAP.

The SD table you're using has rather low values for idle.

The datalog is no longer capturing voltage.

Which voltage are you referring to?
I noticed last night my airflowperrev was .5 and it should be around .25 so I'll have to dig into that.
My trims are pretty good, but ltft low is about - 8%

I just don't understand why my fuel settings can be so drastic from one map sensor to the next.

Pretty sure he's talking about your battery voltage.

The main problem I see when I looked at your log is on the Live Access ECU input tab, think you forgot to change the highlighted drop down box. This will probably fix your scaling issue and make things look normal, maybe?

Thanks I did change that, scaling all looks normal now and was able to get deadtimes close to what they were.

Just chasing some knock underload now.

Well at least you got one problem knocked down. Have another log with the knock by chance?

I just recorded 06 earlier today. I took out some timing and added fuel. 04 I just recorded, still had knock same spot.

93 octane? Maybe you just got some bad or old gas? Your AFRs under WOT look pretty spot on. There's a spot where boost starts building and AFRs are slightly leaner than commanded but later on you go slightly richer than commanded and its still indicating knock. Could maybe try to add a little fuel right where the boost starts to build and see if it helps?
 
93 and it's fresh gas. Like two days ago. I have a new knock sensor I'm going to try, I'll fix that one spot but with my boost and timing it shouldn't be knocking at all.
 
Could still be a bad tank of gas, hard to say. I would go thru the SD table at the portions where its very slightly lean and add like .5 or 1 to those values just to add a touch more fuel and see if it at least lessens the knock some. I'm sure a new sensor couldn't hurt, at least if new one shows the same values you'll have a backup..

Ran through a bunch of gas, added fresh gas. I added some more fuel, took out a bunch of timing and even turned my boost controller all the way down. Was running waste gate pressure. I had the same knock readings. I moved the brand new knock sensor to a different spot on the block and all my knock disappeared. I added back my boost, tossed in alittle timing and it seems to be good now.
I think the knock sensor was picking up some valve train noise or something.

You may have put it in the wrong place to begin with.

It's definitely not in the right place now. I followed an old thread and moved it where the ac used to bolt to.
