My first was a 91 talon AWD auto that I manual swapped in 2011. (Pic from 2012) I had this one for 2 years before it blew a head gasket, and I sold it to a friend. After I sold this one I took a twelve year hiatus from DSMs.


My next talon came in 2024 as a manual AWD to recreate the original one I had in 2012. (Build thread in profile) unfortunately it’s not complete, but it’s a work in progress.


This 91 manual AWD talon is my most recent, and is currently running and driving. It was parked in a garage after the original owner was involved in a bad car accident, and could no longer drive it. It sat there until 2025 when the original owners parents decided to sell it. (Restoration build thread in profile)

My first was technically the one I shared with my brother, which was a 98 eclipse gs that we acquired in 2009. It came with an exhaust and wheels already on it which was awesome back then.
We drove that car through highschool together until my brother moved out then I got shoved into a white 96 rs. These were good first cars especially being in highschool, I loved telling everyone it was all show and no go.
I currently have in my possession a red 98 eclipse gs with close enough wheels and an exhaust just like what we once had.
These photos are approximately 17 years apart give or take.

In 1996 my friend John owned this 90 TSi AWD and took me for my first AWD turbo ride. The car had an HKS upper intercooler pipe, HKS turbo timer, Greddy/Trust 60mm catback, and a K&N.

I was into V8 S10's at the time and was very impressed how well the car 'got down'.
Somewhere during 1999 the car had melted exhaust valves but I didn't know squat.
I made a deal on it and the rest is history; I've never actually left DSM's.
The 90 AWD got parted out around 2005; it was rusty and these were plentiful; still have the other 2 cars in my sig.

Red 1GB FWD (92 Talon TSI). I don't really have any photos of it online. Acquired it around 1999-2000. It had to be sacrificed when my 2nd DSM (my old black 1GA TSI AWD) popped an engine, one of the cylinders developed a crack. All the great things my black 1G did was the rebuilt engine from my 1st 1G. I literally gave it away (the shell) because I had to move and back then, if it was an auto (and FWD) it was basically trash. Gave it to a good neighbor I had at the time.

My favorite 1ga color combo… have yet to find one locally, but if the right deal comes up I’d sell my champagne one to get a black one.

My first one and I still have her. She has been through A LOT of things but she makes me smile. I think I got her in 2012.

I either have more pics on an an old phone or they are lost in the ether of social media. Either way. Bought in 2006. First manual car with a ACT2600. 97 GST, manual, Quaife diff, built head 264/272 HKS cams, BJ’s manifold, 75mm BBK throttle body. 3” intercooler and piping, SFP manifold, turbonetics 60-1, open dump, SAFC, 255, Aeromotove FPR, Thermal exhaust, Baer BBK,. I learned so much on that car just getting into what I thought was good or safe work . I bought it modded after my first deployment after my best friend and nieces dad bought a 97 before I left. That’s his on the left. Truly fun times and good people in the old days especially in FL (2005-2012) IMV, MyWS6, Joes GTTT, the area Street Scene forum races. Every weekend you could find a meet spot and races.
Lots of hoodrat in that car. Oh the stories





In the middle of all that was a couple of TB Evo’s.
Now into a 92 6/4 auto AWD.


It will get done eventually.

Crazy even to me what it's become

My first and current are polar opposites. The first one was a 1995 ESi that I bought completely stock and gave it the full F&F treatment.


My current is a 98 TSi AWD that is completely stock and will stay completely stock.
