Hello everyone I hope I’m met mildly warmly!

TL;DR I’m a Neon/SRT4/turbo Dodge guy looking for info/parts/deals for 6g7 stuff. I’m 40, live near the PA/MD border, make funny videos sometimes, play music, and live to help however I can.

I haven’t owned a DSM yet, but I have owned a 6g72 vehicle since 2016, a 1989 Dodge Grand Caravan. In late 2016 I 5 speed swapped it at my friends house in San Antonio and drove it 1650 miles home to Pennsylvania where it was my on again off again daily driver until 2024 when I got into an accident with it. I do plan on getting it back on the road but for now it’s just taken a back seat.



I currently have a pile of parts that I consider a car collection I guess. I have an SRT4 that is blown up, a 95 SOHC Neon I’ve had since 09, a 99 DOHC coupe Neon, and an SRT4 swapped LeBaron wagon. I recently grabbed an 85 LeBaron GTS for my son to have as his first car/project car. I don’t want him driving my wife’s Civic because it’s too good on gas and reliable and he could end up 400 miles away with a tank of gas.

I’ve mainly been a Neon/turbo Dodge guy since 2005, but I’ve had mild interests in other platforms, I never made the official jump to a DSM platform. I have helped a few DSM guys over the years, the last being my buddy with his 90 Talon.

My son recently asked about 6g72 DOHC swapping his car down the road, and it sent me down the research rabbit hole, where I eventually found out the 6g75 uses the same bell housing still? And the MIVEC can make 300whp with a CAI and a decent tune, AND has MSEFI support? Oh my. And if I turbo it I could break a transmission even faster?

So now I want to 6g75 swap something. Maybe my van, maybe a Neon, maybe a Dodge Dynasty, I don’t know yet. But it’s in the cards. I’m here to lurk and hopefully be funny.

Everybody is welcome. We mostly focus on the 4g63 platform but we've seen it all. i've seen a 6g75 swapped into a 1g DSM.
No idea on what fabrication was required.

Ah. I recognize the Famous Lunch sign. Used to live there many years (the town, not the restaurant). My daughter frequented the Famous Weiner Hot Lunch on the corner in the town square. Welcome to the forum.

Look at the scale of the K-wagon and the small SUV in the same image. cars today a fat retarded blobs. I like the NYG Neon. I have a Shadow ES and Lancer Shelby myself. I assume your on Turbo-Dodge.com and or turbo-mopar.com

Thank you! I figured this was more 4G related, but figured I could find all sorts of info here. I did see a couple forum posts from 2013 of someone putting a 6g75 into a Plymouth Acclaim, mainly just needed to make a compatible passenger mount. The Mopar front and side mounts work off the transmission.

Also, recently I found a RWD 6G7 compatible transmission, but I haven't heard of many people using it. There must be something either wrong with it, or it's a weak transmission. I'm trying to source more info for it now.

Yeah we moved here about 10 years ago when I was working at Ft Meade. I grew up in Glen Burnie and used to go to some of the meets at K-Mart and Pep Boys back in the day if you ever saw them.

Yeah, using carsized.com really almost scares me, plus the weight of everything modern. And yeah, I'm on T-M more than TD. Vigo from TM was the guy that pushed me to buy the 89 GC and he's the guy who helped me/did the 5 speed swap. He's a genius honestly and a hell of a guy.

Turbo dodge guys are some of the most resourceful and creative fellas I've run into in my travels.
On the other hand, I have a sneaking suspicion there aren't too many turbo dodge chicks.

Man, I have a feeling an AWD 4g63 swapped neon would really kick ass. I’d like to do it some day, if I find the perfect donor.
