zero compression on all 4??

ok long story short.head blew replaced it with a head that was just back from the shop.i had to put my valves and stuff it in.got it on the car and it wouldnt start.check the compersion it was zero all the way across.what can cause this?im stumped at this point

resloved valves did not seat

valves where the issue.just got the head off no to fiuge out how to seat them at home

How do you know the valves were the problem? If you have the head off again, just take it to a machine shop and have them pressure test it.

because you can see the gap between the head and valve.the just came back from the machine shop it had bronze guides, new seals and was resurfaced.

Did the compression jump up to where it was suppose to be?

I'm also going to assume that they checked the valves for straightness?

ran in to a problem.i dont a valve spring compressor, i was able to get them out but have no way to get them back in.anyone around chamberbrug pa have one i can use ?

Try Autozone and see if they have a spring compressor for your purposes. Usually you leave a deposit and when you return the tool they give the deposit back...
