ZAPPING NOISE NEAR INJECTORS

I HAVE A ZAPPING OR TAPPING NOISE COMING FROM MY INJECTORS.

I REPLACED OTHER ONES BUT THEY WERE NOT NEW FROM A ANOTHER GST I FOUND IN THE JUNKYARD.

BUT THEY THE TAPPING NOISE REMAINS THE SAME.

ALSO I NOTICE ONE OF THE VACUUMS SOLENOIDS ABOVE THE THROTTLE BODY ALSO TICKS?? NOT SURE WHAT THIS IS. THOUGHT ID ASK BEFORE I GET MY HANDS DIRTY.

The injectors do 'tap' while running, they open and close rapidly and make that noise. The tapping, however, is not all that loud. Sounds like you are hearing lifters instead. Or if it's more of a "zap' then you might be hearing a short somewhere nearby, possibly in spark plug wire(s).

the noise is coming from the fuel injector on the left closest to the pvc valve and it's not the lifters I can hear the injector clicking really fast only on that injector[DOUBLEPOST=1417484205][/DOUBLEPOST]At idle and it comes and goes

Try swapping the injector with another to see if the noise you hear remains on the same injector, or if it is something else all together.

could possibly be lifter tick on the intake side. these cars are known for lifter tick. just a possibility but could be an injector

I find that at times I'll get a rapid ticking or clicking for my PCV valve....that's close to one injector. I wonder if that's what he/you are hearing. Just a thought
