Thermal R&D Near Bumper

Hey everyone,

Just wondering how far the Thermal R&D exhaust is supposed to stick out from the rear bumper? My bumper gets pretty warm from the exhaust gases and even dirty. Is this normal?

To me, it looks like it's positioned correctly/normally.

Here is mine, looks a lot like yours. I never noticed if my bumper gets hot, but it went in easy and everything lined up correctly. Nice choice of exhaust by the way

To update this thread...

My bumper now has a burn mark which sucks...anybody experience this? I'm not too upset because I need to repaint or replace the bumper anyway, but then I'll have to look into a protective coating in that area to prevent this.

You could put one of these on the bumper. CF works well on white cars:

Would protect it and save you from repainting.
