ok first i bought a 2600 act kit right, install it any everything and wouldn't let me in gear. i try and try everything right, yeah i took the tranny off five times trying to find out the problem. the fifth time i took it out, i decided to put the stock clutch plate and disc back in right. started the car was fine and i can finally put it in gear.
now here's the catch, seems like first gear will only let me go in half way but the stick shift stays like it is in first gear, it'll grind a little and pops back out when i give it a little gas just like when you try to put it in but no all the way in.
here's another catch, 2nd,3rd,4th,5th gear seems fine. i can go into reverse normal but instead of going backwards, i'm going forward.
any one out there know what is going on?

NO, they are not supposed to twist. If they are loose, the disc is bad. You want it to be tight....the springs are there to give the disc a bit of flex for smoother engagement while DD.
