your views on the kyb gr-2 and tein s-techs

just wanna know what anyone would say about the kyb gr-2 shocks and tein s-tech springs. i have the chance to get them both as a set brand new for cheapppp from a shop going out of business its on my 93 awd tsi. mostly im looking to drop it basically to what it should have been off the lot and also make it quite a bit more aggressive while still comfortable since its my daily driver. thanks for any info.

Theyre basically a oem replacement, not the greatest with lowering springs, so I've read.

KYB gr-2's do not like to be lowered by much, and if you do lower the car with gr-2's, they will not last long. My gr-2's are already blown, and blown badly. They have been on a 2" drop for about 1/2 year

If you're going to lower the car, I'd go with Konis. The GR-2 is a great replacement for a car that will remain at stock height. It's not a performance shock. I've used a set myself and they didn't last too long.
