I know probably not many people know this but if any of you do I would like to know. I personally have never gone to the track so those times don't have much weight with me. Also it would be nice to see how souped up dsm's compare to the stock 0-60 numbers of other higher end cars.
Thanks! :D

Well I dont really have a 0-60 for you, but you dont need to go to the track to get one if you have a datalogger setup, this datalogger program will do a 0-60 stopwatch for you. I see you live in Melbourne, take your car out to the "compound" out west of palm bay where that abandoned subdivision is and make some runs, its all empty road. We ride out there on dirt bikes, DSM's, motorcycles, whatever, just bring a friend incase you get stuck, theres nothing out there. Ill try to make a run later and post a 0-60 for you.

Yeah I know about compound, cops like to hang out there now a days. Friends did some stupid shit out there, like taking a car off a dirtbike ramp and bending the frame. I'm really doing this to find out what kind of 0-60s one can get with different mods.

7.1 sec with full interoir, passenger, and stuff in trunk.

Back when I had my T25 and just a UICP + 1g bov + filter.

I went from 0-60 in 6 seconds on my gst on stock turbo set at 13 psi. Currently have a small boost leak and worn tires that need replacing. I'll post any time difference when I fix the leak and replace the tires.

well guys i just went to"get some gas and it was night out,and the ftech just happened to be in the car.i just happened to remember about this thread.so i launched at about 4500,this was my first official all wheel drive launch. All I have to say is.DAMMM!!!,well anyways, almost bone stockw/just a boost controller at .09 kgm/cm3 about 13 psi I think and a k&n filter i got 6.12.you could say it's a little faster then my GS.:p

Road & Track got 7 seconds in their test.

Was that FWD or AWD? I know someone had an article that no car (reasonable car you see on the road) had a faster 0-30 time then a dsm. Hell my front wheel drive, when it was stock, probably pulled a mid 6 second 0-60.

I know they exist, and I've found a few on google before, but does anyone have a good calculator they like to use that gives/estimates a 0-60 time from 1/8th mile ET, mph, maybe even 60' time?

A "good calculator" is irrelevant. The "calculator" doesn't know air temperature, traction, load, how good your gasoline is, clutch condition... etc, etc, etc. Benchracing.

I consistently outrun slightly modified WRX Imprezas--exhaust, etc. (Haven't encountered any STI's). Three-four car-lengths ahead at the top of second gear (about 55mph).

and in the real world, most drivers dont drive as well as magazines portray it. i raced my buddy with with his porsche bla bla that runs 3.2sec to 60 and i had a car on him by 65 bla bla. Go to the track or wherever and figure it out. Thats the only real way to do things.

Most car owners won't beat the living shit out of something they're paying for like a club-footed car writer (as opposed to driver) will abuse something they're paid to try and kill for free. Not that they would ever slant the results of a test just to make a car look better for the advertisers.... er, manufacturers.

Best-ever car magazine cover story: "We test a Can-Am Car at 11/10ths!" -Car and Driver wadded one back in the seventies.

No, if you actually have a timeslip, you can figure out your 0-60 easily. What your actual 0-60 was on that run, temp, traction, gas, clutch or any other factor is taken into account, and relfected in your time, not bench-racing.

Wtf did you think I meant, just make up some numbers and throw them into a calculator, for a really accurately caclulated.....complete guess?

......Street Racing

i pulled a 4.1 when i still had my evo.

mods:

afc II
hallman b/c (21 lbs)
exhaust dump (after cat)
660 cc injectors

best 1/4 was 12.66 @ 103
1.69 60'

Why would you spend the time putting in all those numbers into that "calculator" when you could just pick up a G-Tech Pro off ebay for $50. Gives 0-60, 1/4 mile time and speed, lateral g's, continuous g's, braking distance,.... only thing it doesn't do is 60 foot.

Edit:
You can now get these for around $30 incl s/h on ebay.
