After all of the problems and troubles trying to get that POS OBX differential to work, it was like Xmas when I opened the box today to my new Quaife. Remember that scene in Pulp Fiction where they opened up the briefcase and the glow came out. It felt a little better than that. There is even a tag on the LSD that says to test fit the axles before installing the LSD into the transmission. If OBX copied Quaife then they should have put that tag on it as well. It would have saved me a lot of hassle and money. Anyway, per the suggestion, the axles were stuck into the Quaife and gave a satisifying click. Then about 30 minutes later we got it out. I do not think that I will have any more problems.

On a side note, the OBX is not exactly like the Quaife, The allen head bolts on top that hold the LSD together are different. The OBX has large bolts sticking out off of the top. The Quaife has almost twice as many bolts counter sunk into the LSD casing. Also, the OBX would rattle when you shook it. The Quaife felt and sounded solid as a rock.
I wish I would have had time to take pictures but I didnt have enough time between delivery and the shop closing. Once its in I will give a full report. Fingers crossed.

Defently let us know how the new lsd works. I have one of these sitting on the floor beside me, just waiting till the ride comes out of storage in 2 weeks. Just a question on the install did you shim it yourself? How did you go about doing this, just by using the method in the vfaq or did you take "real" measurements?
